Doctora (Ph. D.) en Ciencia Política, University of Washington, Seattle (EE.UU.), y Master of Arts en Ciencia Política, McGill University, Montreal (Canadá). Antes de incorporarse al Instituto, fue Max Weber Post-Doctoral fellow en European University Institute, Italia y Profesora Asistente en Bogazici University, Turquía. Fue George C. Lamb Regulatory Fellow en Kenan Institute for Ethics en Duke University en 2015 y profesora visitante en Bogazici University en 2019-2020. Sus áreas de especialización incluyen Relaciones Internacionales y Economía Política Internacional.
Su trabajo se enfoca en la relación entre el Estado y los mercados en los países emergentes. Sus investigaciones recientes se centran en cómo las organizaciones y normas internacionales impactan en las políticas domésticas, en particular, las políticas de competencia, anticorrupción y regulación económica. Actualmente es investigadora principal del proyecto FONDCEYT Regular (2023- 2025) titulado “The Politics of Cleaning Up: Anti-corruption Reforms in Chile”.
Actualmente es la Directora del Instituto de Ciencia Política UC.
